Restricted Bequests

If you are considering a bequest but would like to ensure that your bequest will be used for a specific purpose, please let us know. We would be happy to work with you and your attorney to help you identify ways to give and meet your charitable objectives. We will also work with you and your attorney to craft language to accomplish your goals.

Endowments

If you would like your gift to exist in perpetuity, an endowed fund can be established with a gift of $25,000 or more. A UNM Foundation representative will work with you to create a Gift Agreement, which lays out the form, purpose and administration of your gift. Signed by the donor, a University of New Mexico representative and the UNM Foundation President, the Gift Agreement documents your wishes with regard to guidelines for use of the endowed funds. The UNM Foundation will manage the endowment, and make annual disbursements while providing for the long-term growth of the principal.
